Description
In this 28 page World War II product, you will have everything you need to conduct a lesson on the progression of U.S. involvement in WWII. (i.e. the Neutrality Acts, FDR speeches and Fireside Chats, Four Freedom Speech and more...)
At the conclusion of this lesson your students will be able to answer the following question, using primary source evidence:
“To what extent was the U.S. involved in WWII BEFORE the bombing of Pearl Harbor? Why did the U.S. eventually join the war effort?”
In this lesson your students will: (ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED)
1) Complete a warm-up “quick-write” on what it means to be neutral. (Class discussion)
2) Examine 11 primary source excerpts/ short media clips (links provided) and photographs with a partner in order to discuss how each source shows the progression of US involvement in WWII up to the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
3) Answer a series of questions about the sources presented.
4) Complete an Exit Card/assessment question at the end of the lesson.
