Vertebrate Escape Room Revised

Engage your students with a fun way to review characteristics of vertebrate animals.  This lesson is set up as an Escape Room, but you can use as stations as well.  I use tackle boxes and locks with codes to give students a more authentic Escape Room vibe.  You can hide stations around the room to add a challenge to your lesson.  The five activities will require the use of critical thinking skills and recall of information about the characteristics of vertebrates.  Vocabulary is incorporated into the Crossword Puzzle and Match Game.  Jokes and Riddles describe vertebrate animals in a different way, expanding students view of the animals world.  Students match letters and numbers, then use a decoding wheel to write the words or phrases at several stations.  A simple logic puzzle incorporates the characteristics of vertebrates into the clues.
