Description
World Geography students will learn about Western Europe's physical geography, history, and modern day with these 6 resources. Physical geography is covered with a PowerPoint (it can also be used as a gallery walk) and comprehension tasks. The region's history is presented with a short PowerPoint and a jigsaw activity (can also be used as stations) and introduces feudalism, Crusades, Black Death/Plague, 100 Years' War, printing press, Magna Carta, Reformation, Enlightenment, Scientific Revolution, French Revolution, and Industrial Revolution. There are a multiple comprehension tasks for the history topics. Students will complete a selection of projects (fact flaps, one pagers, newspaper front pages, pamphlets, maps, and more) to learn about modern day life in Western Europe (languages, religion, ethnicities, culture, economy, government, the economy, various challenges and successes). This also includes an additional map, true/false/fix, and editable test! The countries covered are Ireland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Lichtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Monaco. Teacher information, templates, examples, the answers, and point distributions are included where appropriate.
