What if YOU were Abraham Lincoln?

In this activity, your students have the opportunity to walk in the shoes of one of America’s greatest presidents! Students are given different scenarios from Lincoln’s presidency and they must choose which path to take. Will their choices lead to disaster? Will “their” presidency be one that is weak or one that goes down in history as legendary? The choice is theirs! 

This is one of my students’ FAVORITE games we play! And it’s highly effective! This interactive learning activity will have your students begging for more! Your students must decide how to approach real situations that Abraham Lincoln faced in his presidency. They will quickly become engaged as they as they work to complete this assignment. This activity walks students through the Lincoln presidency, revealing to them the tough decisions Lincoln had to face. Not only will they have fun, but I also guarantee they learn more than traditional note-taking methods!
