Description
Introduce your students to historic women and have them conduct their own research with this Women's History Month lesson!
March is Women's History Month, and what better way to start the month than a presentation on some of the most notable women in history? This Google Slides presentation features 6 pioneering women: Gloria Steinem, Harriet Tubman, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Susan B. Anthony, Sojourner Truth, and Marie Curie.
Each woman has 2 slides: one that includes a short biography and an image of their signature, and one that has their famous quotes and a photograph portrait.
UPDATE: 2 slides have been added so students can research a historic woman of their choice to celebrate Women's History Month! Students are prompted to choose an important woman in history and are provided with a website link to help get them started with research. The last slide of the activity asks students to list notable accomplishments and facts about their historic figure.
This presentation serves as an introduction to Women's History Month and can be used as a model for students to conduct their own research on historic women.
