This 6 page activity packet contains everything your students need to complete a Document Based Activity (using a primary source) on life as a monk in a monastery during the Middle Ages. This is a great front-loader or supplement assignment for your class to complete as classwork or homework. Students will read several short, primary source excerpts written by St. Benedict, answer comprehension questions about each excerpt, (to understand life in a monastery during the Middle Ages) and then will use what they have learned to complete a sensory figure of a monk.
