World War 2 project. 5 theaters of the war

Students will be collaborating to create a presentation on one of 7 different categories on World War 2. These topics include:

1. The leaders and causes of WW2

2. War begins in Europe: 1939-1941

3. The Early War in Europe- The Nazi's downturn 1941-1943

4. US gets involved (Pacific Theater) 1941-1943

5. War at home- In the United States 1941-1945

6. Late War in Europe 1944-1945

7. War in the Pacific and the Defeat of Japan 1944-1945

Each of the categories above have 5-8 topics students need to cover for that time-frame. These are mentioned under each of the categories.

Students may choose to deliver their presentation in the following mediums-

-Movie or News broadcast (recorded or live)

-Skit or play (with props)

-PowerPoint presentation- 10 slides- This is what I preferred to use.

For this project, I required students provide a worksheet/graphic organizer to the class.

Included with this project is:

-A rubric

-Group contract collaboration form- This holds students accountable for doing their work.

 8-12 grade

-The project will takes around 5-6 50 minute class periods to complete, including delivering the presentations.
