1st and 2nd Hand Accounts Assessment
Description
This is an original assessment I created to test my students’ level of understanding of first and second hand accounts of events in informational text.
(RI.4.6. Compare and contrast a firsthand and secondhand account of the same event or topic; describe the differences in focus and the information provided.)
This 24 point, 4 page assessment encourages students to provide evidence found in the text to determine the focus of the author. They will compare, analyze, and create 1st and 2nd hand accounts in a variety of ways. A complete answer key is included.
