Description
This is my unit over the Declaration of Independence American Revolution Revolutionary War. It lasts for 3 weeks and comes with 5 quizzes and two tests over the material on for regular ed students and the other for students that receive modifications. The quizzes and test are examview files and pdf's. I also have a timeline assignment I use to supplement this as well that is not seen on the days below.
*Anytime my students have extra time during this 3 week lesson I have them work on their timeline assignment.
*I also pass out the Study Guide around week 2 and have the students begin working on it as we cover the material because it is a large study guide.
*I have included 2 songs and videos that I made that cover Washington Crossing the Delaware and King George III Singing to the colonies about how he misses them. The singing is terrible but the kids seem to like it.
*The Declaration of Independence lesson where you make a fake breakup note is probably my favorite lesson. I have my students take an oath before they leave my room not to tell the other classes about the fake note and if they do I pass the Intolerable Acts in my class where I punish them. I haven't had a class spoil the lesson yet.
