All 5 weeks of literacy activities from the store in a bundle! 

Week 1: 

Week 1 of Literacy activities for E Learning/Remote Learning. Could be used for in class  learning for weekly literacy plans, small guided groups, homework and more!

This pack includes 5 days of activities that include Reading and Writing activities to match up with Standards we have already taught during 3rd grade thus far.

The week will take the students through reading/listening to/watching a classic fairytale and adaptation of same fairytale, comparing/contrasting, story mountains, lesson learned and drafting their own adaptation!

Week 2:

Week 2 of Literacy activities for E Learning/Remote Learning.

This pack includes 5 days of activities that include Reading and Writing activities to match up with Standards we have already taught during 3rd grade thus far. The week will take the students through reading/listening to Grace for President by Kelly DiPucchio. The student's will analyze the main character's, compare/contrast them with evidence from the text and finally making a text to self connection! Enjoy!

Week 3:

Week 3 of Literacy activities for E Learning/Remote Learning.

Could use for small groups, guided reading, independent work, short cycle assessments for standards etc .

This pack includes 5 days of activities that include Reading and Writing activities to match up with Standards we have already taught during 3rd grade thus far. The week will take the students through reading/listening to a narrative nonfiction book about Pierre the Penguin and a nonfiction video about Penguins. The student's will analyze the vocabulary, summarize the text and synthesize the two informational texts/videos to figure out the main idea/subtopic. Enjoy!

Week 4: 

Week 4 of Literacy activities for E Learning/Remote Learning.

This pack includes 5 days of activities that include Reading and Writing activities to match up with Standards we have already taught during 3rd grade thus far.

The week will take the students through watching their favorite show or movie and summarizing it then recording themselves doing a review of it! Then they will do something similar with a book of their choice (or links of youtube read alouds provided if they don't have access to books) where they will review the book and then choose a character to do a character map on and analyzing the lesson of the story!

Week 5:

This is week 5 of the literacy activities I have created in my store. it is continuous work on third grade CCSS with a focus on nonfiction standards!

Day 1/Day 3:

Previewing nonfiction text by looking at the meaning of the word PREVIEW, making predictions about the text and triggering prior knowedge on the topic.

CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RI.3.4Determine the meaning of general academic and domain-specific words and phrases in a text relevant to a grade 3 topic or subject area.

Day 2:

Nonfiction text feature focus with a scavenger hunt in a RAZ KIDS text.

CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RI.3.5Use text features and search tools (e.g., key words, sidebars, hyperlinks) to locate information relevant to a given topic efficiently.

Day 4:

Comprehension Questions specific to text.

CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RI.3.1Ask and answer questions to demonstrate understanding of a text, referring explicitly to the text as the basis for the answers.

Day 5:

Bozes and bullets for two sections of table of contents of the text.

CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RI.3.2Determine the main idea of a text; recount the key details and explain how they support the main idea.

    Don't let the opportunity to snag this packet pass you by! Heading back for the new year this is a great way for both 3rd and 4th grade teachers to assess where their students are! Activities are DONE for you so you can focus on new policies and procedures. I am so excited to have these common core aligned products!
