Description

This clearly outlined spelling routine with differentiation options explained is wonderful for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. This routine is classroom tested. This product and the routine are explained in the teacher's guide. It will create critical thinkers, help your kids practice fluency, and provide collaborative learning opportunities with its variety of different activities.  Use the activities in conjunction with my YouTube video Learn and Practice Words with Silent Letters . These activities are aligned with 3rd Grade Wonders Unit 2 Week 3, however, anyone who is studying silent letter spelling patterns would benefit from using these materials with their class. These will provide great opportunities for your kids to practice the skill for the week in many different ways.

This activity includes:

-Teacher Guide

This page explains what to do for each day of the spelling activities.

-Words for the Week

The teacher ready page has words for the week ready to print and put up around the room for my special twist on "Write the Room." It also has more detailed instructions for day 1 activities.

-Write the Room

This is the recording page for the collaborative activity that will also get your class moving.

-Sound Spelling Sort and sentence writing page

First, have kids work together and follow my directions as they follow the link on the QR code included right on the page. Next, get moving again with this collaborative activity using the words around the room.

-Fluency/ Decodable passage

This passage uses the sound/ spelling pattern for the week. Repeated readings to find these patterns will help kids build their fluency

-Sorting Words Page

Kids are moving, using critical thinking to think of their own spelling patterns to sort words into now that they are more familiar with the words for the week. Students collaborate with each other in this activity.

-Find the Missing Words

This is a unique way to have kids show what they've learned through out the week. Use it as an individual or partner activity.

These are fun, ready to go, NON-WORKSHEET resources.
