Do you want to have your kids write in a daily journal, but struggle to get all of them engaged in the writing? This classroom tested resource will help your reluctant writers feel more confident. It will give your writers who need a push, an engaging variety of topics to think about as they explore their talent. This product and the routine are explained in the teacher's guide. These pages can be printed in color or black and white.

These pages have step by step instructions explaining how to use the product, plus an explanation of how to easily prep for differentiating for your students. If you can print and make a double sided copy, you can differentiate using this product.

This is a double page so you can make one copy for every 2 kids.
It will go in their journal as a guide for every time you do the day 1 activity.
-A student guide for the different options.
Explain once, refer to the guide after that.
-9 pages of prompts with sentence frames
These are use 2 different ways for your option 2 and 3 learners
-9 pages of prompts with pictures
These are for your option 1 learners, but the pictures will help your option 2 and 3 learners as well, especially your ELL learners.
-A Free Writing Fun page
This is another double page that can be copied for every 2 kids.
Use this as a scaffold for your option 2 and 3 kids to be a word bank as they create masterpieces of their own on day 5.

Great differentiation
I love the differentiation with these writing prompts! I really like how visually they see the same prompt but the response options are scaffolded. This will really cater to the needs of all of my students!
