Description

Thank you for your consideration of this bundle! We are confident that you will be extremely pleased with these vocabulary flash cards for your student scholars to use! You’re not teaching the novel? This product can also be used as a stand-alone set for vocabulary building! Or you can color code each set for your word wall

We recommend that you print these cards on sheets of card stock, which you can then cut apart and laminate for a strong, long lasting, resource. When you print double sided from the templates, four key words, along with sample sentences using each word as examples, will be on the front of the sheet, and the parts of speech and definitions will appear on the reverse side aligned with the correct word.

Additionally, we have grouped the words on the sheets by parts of speech. Please see the individual sets for printing instructions for color coding. This way, if you want to color code by parts of speech, you can use different color paper or card stock. Instant Colorful Word Wall!

The 73 key words in this bundle are from Lind Sue Park’s A Long Walk to Water. They are also aligned to the “Study Guide and Student Workbook to Accompany A Long Walk to Water”, which is also offered by ELA in Middle School. That said, this product can also be used as a stand-alone set for vocabulary building!

The words reviewed in this set are:

Arid; Astounding; Luscious; Merciless; Bush; Cradle; Gourd; Orphan; Plains; Rebel; Route; Sorghum; Backfire; Drone; Flicker; Graze; Herd; Hesitate; Litter; Object; Protest; Scatter; Scramble; Scurry; Monotonous; Precise; Shimmer; Stunt; Earnestly; Gaily; Gingerly; Sluggishly; Beeswax; Borehole; Bush; Corpse; Despair; Papyrus; Scrub; Stand; Tamarind; Coax; Dash; Furrow; Lag; Plague; Ravage; Seep; Shuffle; Civic; Contaminated; Dreadful; Makeshift; Vague; Wee; Torrential; Frantic; Abruptly; Aloft; Frantically; Vaguely; Peril;; Refuge;; Surge; Torrents;; Bewilder; Comprehend; Lumber; Riddle; Scavenge; Skitter; Displace; Dispel
