Achievements of Ancient Egypt - Webquest Activity
The main goal of this lesson is to have students conduct research, describe and compare the different achievements of Ancient Egypt
 
***Please note that this lesson involves links to various websites.  Therefore, Ipads or Laptops are highly recommended.  Otherwise, content from the website can be printed out for students.***
 
You get a 7 slide PowerPoint with:
- A Do Now Question:
- Activity Instructions
- Conclusion Question
 
For the Activity, four (4) links are provided to different websites that go over achievements of Ancient Egypt. They are categorized into a lower and upper grades based on the length and complexity of information on each website.

Students are given 3 options for the activity.
 
Option 1 - List and Think Activity Chart, where students:
  • 1. List the Egyptian achievements and describe how they were important to Egyptian society.
  • 2. Compare the Egyptian achievements to our society today….What is similar and different?
Option 2: Comparison Organizer
Using the Comparison Organizer, students describe the similarities and differences between the Egyptians' achievements and our society today.
 
Option 3: Matchup Activity Worksheet
  • 1. In the boxes to the left & right, students select 2 achievements and describe their importance to Egyptian society:
  • 2. In the bottom box, students pick the achievement that is the most impressive/important and explain their choice:
