Adjective and Adjective Order | PPT and Practice #4 | PPT & Google Slides

Engage students through fun, interactive grammar activities.

Students will learn the basics of adjective order and practice choosing better, more descriptive adjectives while avoiding overused adjectives like good/bad.

They will play a warmup game where they will describe a picture with as many adjectives as they can in 60 seconds. Students will also do an activity where they will find alternatives to commonly overused adjectives. They will practice adjective order by putting mixed up sentences in order. Finally, students will work in groups to write and perform a skit with an emphasis on using descriptive language. Skit topics include describing a monster a student has seen on their way to class, an unhappy customer in a restaurant, and astronauts on the international space station.
