Description
To introduce a unit on the Civil War era, students will match 1860s words/phrases to their modern day equivalents. They will then complete 7 fill in the blank statements using the historical terms and will then write 3 of their own statements using the 1860s terminology. Two examples are doctor/sawbones and a long, large knife/Arkansas toothpick. The answers are included and this could work for a sub!
