Ancient Rome Activity Myth or Fact Video Guide Analysis

Students will watch and analyze a 6 minute video featuring 12 facts and 4 myths from Ancient Rome (both Rome as a Republic and the Roman Empire) by answering 20 questions and completing 2 extension tasks. A teacher information page and the answers are included where appropriate. The video is from TedEd.  

Sample questions include:
--Before the first myth is revealed, which do you think it is and why? 
--Why were many freemen and former soldiers signing up to become gladiators?
--Who wore togas, and when/for what purpose?
--Explain the connection between ammonia and Roman laundry.
--Why were many followers of Pythagoras vegetarians?
--Explain why it is “complicated” to say that Rome fell.
