Description
Students will learn about the efforts to by historians and archaeologists to discover the truth behind the Trojan War and Ancient Troy from research and excavations by watching a 4 and a half minute video and answering 22 questions (one is a creative task).
The answers are included where appropriate and the video is from TedEd.
Sample questions include:
--Prior to Homer, how did people know the story of the Trojan War?
--Why were Calvert’s archaeological ambitions delayed?
--How does Heinrich Schliemann fit into all this?
--Explain the relevance of the year 1180 B.C.E.
--Is there enough definitive evidence to know that this site is the Ancient Troy written about in The Iliad, why or why not?
