Description
Need a 7th grade math review activity on the angle relationships created when lines intersect? Team Target Review is a cooperative and competitive activity designed to get students thinking, talking, and working together.
Teams of 3-4 students work together to complete increasing levels of difficulty on solving angle relationship problems. Round 1 begins with basic problems involving complementary and supplementary angles, then each round progresses to more challenging questions involving:
- Complementary Angles
- Supplementary Angles
- Vertical Angles
- Angles on a Line
- Angles at a Point
Once they have answered each question in the round, students use their answers to complete the "meta" question at the bottom of the page. Getting the "meta" question correct unlocks the next round. As students progress, you can quickly assess mastery and give intervention help on the spot.
This activity works great as an engaging review session before an assessment, a quick(ish) activity on one of those pesky minimum days where you have limited time, or as part of a block period when you want to break up the direct instruction.
This activity includes:
- Suggested activity instructions (based on how I run this in my classroom).
- 6 rounds of problems that get progressively challenging.
- Complete worked out solutions for each round.
