Put your students’ critical thinking, collaboration, and survival instincts to the test with these two immersive, team-based emergency scenarios! This resource includes two real-world, medically themed survival simulations perfect for launching your year with engagement or reinforcing emergency response, wilderness medicine, or first aid units.
In Rescue Ridge: Think, Treat, Survive, students are stranded in the mountains after a storm hits during a hiking trip. With no medical supplies and limited gear, they must choose from a list of common backpack items to care for injured group members and explain their medical reasoning.
In Aftershock Aid: Think, Treat, Survive, students are placed in a crowded community shelter following a major earthquake and aftershock. Supplies are scarce, injuries are real, and they must act quickly using only everyday items from the shelter to treat and stabilize victims.
These activities promote creative problem-solving, basic medical decision-making, and teamwork under pressure — all while having fun and learning how to think like healthcare professionals.
