Get your students thinking critically, communicating, and working as a team from day one! This resource includes two engaging, real-world survival scenario games that double as unforgettable back-to-school icebreakers or creative introductions to your health science, EMT, first aid, or emergency response units.

In First Aid Flight 101: Emergency in the Jungle, students become stranded in the jungle after a plane crash. With no formal supplies, they must choose from a list of everyday airplane items to care for injured passengers — and justify their decisions using medical reasoning.

In The Great Gym Flood Survival Test, students are trapped in a flooded school gym turned emergency shelter. Their job: evaluate common school or gym items and decide which ones are most useful for treating injuries and protecting evacuees.

Both activities are student-led, highly interactive, and designed to build confidence in medical decision-making, problem-solving, and teamwork under pressure.

What’s Included:
✅ 2 full survival scenarios (Plane Crash + Flooded Gym)
✅ Bell ringers and teacher scripts for both lessons
✅ Student supply lists (with and without point values)
✅ Group worksheets and survival scorecards
✅ Exit tickets for reflection and critical thinking

Perfect for:
✔️ First week of school
✔️ Emergency Response or First Aid units
✔️ Team-building and communication
✔️ CTE and health pathways

Use one now at the beginning of the school year as an icebreaker — and then use the second later to see how your students grow in confidence and skill as they apply what they’ve learned.

No prep – just print and play.
Let your students step into the role of a healthcare professional when it matters most!
