Description
This fun, summer themed craftivity can be used with any fiction text.
Directions: After reading a story, students fill in the story elements on the beach ball printable. They then can create a beach scene using torn paper (they can only tear paper by hand to make the picture, they cannot use scissors!). Students color the beach ball, cut it out, and add it to the beach scene.
Before doing this activity you can write different story elements on the sides of a real beach ball and toss it around the room. As each student catches it they identify one of the elements on the beach ball.
