Description
This collaborative poster is a great project during Black History Month. The students will be introduced to a number of different influential and important African Americans from past and present.
When your students enter the room they are each given a piece of the poster, which they will color on and eventually piece together with the rest of their classmates.
Anytime we do these poster in class, my students get excited. They love to color and be able to express themselves artistically. Each hour when my students walk into the room they enjoy reading what the other classes have written. It is a very engaging piece of artwork that you can keep up all year long and reference frequently!
*Final Poster is 5x5, however there are extra pieces of the poster that can be printed off and placed around the border for classes that are larger than 25.

I love this for my classroom because it showed students a lot of new faces they may not have heard of and opened the floor for discussions and learning. Love it!
