Description
Kids love cereal! Kids get interested in learning by the delegates at the Constitutional Convention. So, why not combine them into one engaging activity? In this PBL, students learn about one of the delegates at the Constitutional Convention while creating a brand new cereal, designing a cereal box, and presenting an advertisement.
Students will research to learn about all about their delegate, including background information, stances on Constitutional Convention debates, convention contributions, and life after the convention. Then, they use that information to make their cereal, cereal box (including a prize!) and advertisement.
A variety of resources are provided for each of the delegates. The delegates are also divided into categories of the most prominent and influential delegates, and the signers. This can be used to help differentiate the activity to meet the needs of your students.
