Case 10: The Native Mounted Police Podcast Lesson Resources

This worksheet and PowerPoint Presentation are to supplement the podcast History Detective. Case 10: The Native Mounted Police, looks at the Queensland Native Mounted Police who were a violent organisation set up in the mid 1800s to systematically wipe out the Aboriginal population from Queensland, Australia. One of the focus skills for the lesson is perspective of sources, but students will also build vocabulary, analyse sources, engage with the historical concepts of context, perspective, motive, implicit and explicit evidence, audience and context.
