This worksheet and PowerPoint Presentation are to supplement the podcast History Detective. Case 4: Children of the Dust, explores the story of the nuclear testing performed by the British in Australia during the Cold War arms race and the impact that had on the soldier and Indigenous Australians. These resources could be used a unit on the Cold War looking at the arms race and nuclear testing. Students will build vocabulary, analyse sources, engage with the historical concepts of motive, reliability and usefulness and complete further research.
