Catherine the Great Activity Legacy Debate Video Guide Analysis

Students will watch and analyze a 6 minute video about the two sides of Catherine the Great's legacy by answering 26 questions and completing 2 creative tasks. The answers are included where appropriate. The video is from TedEd. 

Sample questions include:
--What does the prosecution accuse Catherine the Great of right off the bat?
--Explain how the defense compares and contrasts Catherine and Peter as they related to the good of Russia.
--Summarize the role of Ivan VI in Catherine’s reputation.
--How did life for girls change after Catherine came to power?
--Which Russians most benefited from Catherine’s changes? Who did not benefit and why?
--Describe the impact of the French Revolution on Catherine the Great and her rule.
