Description
Change Mixed Numbers to Improper Fractions Self-Checking Digital Mystery Picture Reveal Activity
Do your students struggle with changing mixed numbers as improper fractions? This renaming mixed numbers as improper fractions activity is perfect for getting your students engaged in a fun way without the typical worksheet. This digital activity uses Google Sheets and turns each question into a self-checking math problem that reveals if their answer is correct (by turning green and revealing part of the picture) or incorrect (by turning red and not revealing part of the picture). I hope your students have just as much fun and success with this as mine did!
In this self-checking activity, Puzzle Picture Reveal, students answer questions to reveal the mystery picture. After solving the question on a whiteboard, scratch paper, or the provided recording sheet, students type their final answer into the appropriate cell. When questions are answered correctly, their answer turns green and part of the mystery picture is revealed. When a question is incorrect, the answer turns red and no new picture is revealed.
