Description

This product is a Tic Tac Toe board with 9 Hammurabi's Code related activities meeting a variety of learning styles. Students start by completing the middle activity, which is a Mind Map of information related to Hammurabi's Code. Then, they choose 2 additional activities to make 3 in a row! Students have the option of completing many of the activities using technology or on paper.

Two different RUBRICS are included. You can choose to use the complete rubric with descriptions for each level or a checklist for each task.

Choices on the board include:
- Writing a Letter to the Editor
- Completing a Venn Diagram comparing the laws to today
- Designing an Infographic
- Creating a Blabberize as Hammurabi
- Finding specific evidence in Hammurabi's Code to support statements
- Creating a 3-D model of the stele of Hammurabi's Code
- Writing a song, poem or rap of life under Hammurabi's Code
- Describing the legacy of Hammurabi's Code in a speech for an award

This resource is a Google Doc that can be shared with students directly or put onto Google Classroom. You will get a link to the Google Doc version of this activity. It will ask you to make a copy of the document when you open it. You will then be able to edit the document if desired. You can share the document with students or post it as an assignment on Google Classroom. If you assign it through Classroom, be sure to click the "copy for each student" option.

This activity works really well as an assessment of student understanding of Hammurabi's Code. It could also be used to have students learn the information. There are links students can use to learn the content they need to complete the tasks.
