Description

Do you have Primary level students who need work with first grade Dolch sight words? These hands on pages will engage elementary learners for centers, whole class learning, intervention, or even simple homework whether they're in Kindergarten, first, second, or third grade. They can use the QR code linked video lessons, and then apply their 1st grade sight word knowledge to this engaging activity for each of the 45 words.

This activity includes:

-a 2 page teacher's guide

This teacher's guide gives ideas for prep, use, a digital learning page, and teacher tips.

-Toby Goes to 1st Grade Digital Practice page

This page is great for centers or for an interactive reading display in your classroom. Kids can scan the QR codes here to access the 2 lessons for the 1st grade sight words.

-3 answer keys

I included 1 answer key for a shorter word, a longer word, and a "by heart" word. The "by heart' words are explained in the teacher's guide. I didn't want to overwhelm with too many answer keys, but if you have any other questions, please go to the connect with me page and get in touch.

-45 pages of word activities

Each activity includes:

*Fill it-Kids will fill in the word with their pencil or colors.

*Write it-Kids will write the word in their best writing.

*Chop it: Students will chop the sounds in the word, like a ninja, and then write the number of sounds on their page.

*Pop it- Students will touch, on one of 11 fun pop-its to feel the sounds. Then they will fill in the number of sounds by coloring in that number of dots in the specified row.

*Box it-Students will make a rectangle, write the word, and then separate the letters by sound.

*Blend it: Students will run their pointer finger along the swipe arrow, and blend their sounds to make the word.
