Description

Sample questions include:
--How did the “rebel sympathizers” believe they would avoid arrests and prosecutions?
--Why did Lincoln believe these matters weren’t fit for civil courts?
--What has his arrest resulted in per the Convention on a surface level? What about in the long term?
-- Rewrite the second to last paragraph in your own words to demonstrate understanding.
--In what way does the Convention see that popular government is at risk, and at risk of what?
--Explain the meaning of the phrase, “outside the pale of the constitutional guarantees.”
--How do the sources best counter each other? Identify and explain any similarities between the sources.
--If each text had a hook, what would it be and why?
