Berlin Airlift- they do a mini/scaffolded DBQ and analyze 4 different primary sources (newspaper excerpt, photograph, map, and political cartoon), McCarthyism they analyze political cartoons, and a speech from President Truman and match ideas from the speech to the cartoon, and then they do a simulation acting as EXCOMM and 'solve the Cuban Missile Crisis'- analyzing a couple documents before weighing options, debating as a team, and then writing a speech for President Kennedy to deliver to the nation.
