Description
After each coloring page, there is a writing page. That writing page has the same prompt each time instructing them to use at least two parts of speech terms from the coloring page along with any new ones they come up with, with the goal of describing the coloring page with their own creativity and imagination.
Not all parts of speech "match" the picture, but some do. This is more about correctly matching colors with the parts of speech in the code key.
If there is an arrow, it’s because it is either a small item, or only part of that item needs the color. Use discretion if you plan to grade on accuracy.
If there is a word in one of many items (e.g. multiple clouds), as long as they color the labeled item, that is fine. They could decide to color all clouds / items that color depending on the part of speech. But some similar items may have different parts of speech.
You could print double-sided so the writing page appears behind each coloring page.
