The main goal of this lesson is to have students compare the similarities and differences between Egypt and the Kush Civilization using various resources

For the activities students are given 4 different resources that they can examine:
- Resource 1 – 498 word reading on Kush’s location and resources
- Resource 2 – 392 word reading on the blending of Kush and Egyptian cultures
- Resource 3 – Images of artifacts from Kush & Egyptian societies (Sphinx and Pyramids)
- Resource 4 - Map of Kush and Egyptian trade.
There are 3 different activity options as well:
- Activity Option 1 – Students answer the comprehension and analysis questions based on each resource
- Activity Option 2 - Students complete the organizer by comparing similarities and differences between Egypt and Kush
- Activity Option 3 – Students complete the comparison activity by examining and assessing the similarities and differences between Kush and Egypt
