It’s based on a real-world ER scenario where students use what they’ve learned to help decode a medical chart—just like Loni does in the story.

Ray Keller breaks his arm, and his family is handed a chart full of abbreviations they can’t understand. But lucky for them, Loni has taken medical terminology—and now your students get to step into her shoes and solve the mystery!
