Description
Students listen to two sides of an impromptu debate and note some well-framed arguments on both sides. Links to a video, free, provided by the Danny Hauger YouTube channel https://youtu.be/OQFh_MWvH8A (that's me). Its about 7 minutes, and then students find a link to a resource that supports their concluded winner, and why they feel that way, supported by evidence for their claim. Perfect for distance learning. Excellent for government, economics, or United States History.
Mr. Hauger Debates Mr. Hauger on whether the government should intervene in the economy. Keep an open mind. This is to practice seeing two sides of an issue, and be able to listen and respond with your own thoughts. This debate centers on whether the free market should be unchecked by government, or if there are times when government support can help stabilize or even stimulate the economy.
