Description
In this activity students are given a guide sheet to each of the economic principles: (Scarcity Forces Tradeoff, Costs versus Benefits, Thinking at the Margin, Trading Makes People Better Off, Markets Coordinate Trade, Incentives Matter and Consequences Count).
They are then given a template and direction to find examples in children's stories. Examples are given. It sounds simple, but students are forced to identify, cite, and explain how we actually use "economic thinking" throughout a daily life. Try it, it's tougher than you think!
