In this (fully- editable) activity your students will examine the effects of Globalization on the environment, culture, political systems and economic development of countries who have been exposed to this transformation! Have the effects been good or bad? Let your students decide! Great lesson to use during a Macroeconomic Unit in Economics or in World History...

Activities Included:
1) Warm-up video activity introducing the topic of Globalization (worksheet included)
2) A highly visual student graphic organizer to complete overview notes on the topic of Globalization- link to an online article included.
3) Full Socratic Seminar Activity- students work in groups to examine multiple source excerpts on the topic of Globalization to develop their position on Globalization. Students will then discuss their position with other students in a seminar.
4) OPTIONAL: if you prefer, this resource could easily be used as a document based student activity only instead of a full Socratic Seminar (classwork or homework)!
