Emotions: Neuroscience

Introduce students to neuroscience behind emotions in this interactive lesson. Topics include the two neural pathways for emotions as well as the biological structures in the brain and body. The lesson contains three main activities: an article to read and discuss, direct instruction PowerPoint and doodle notes graphic organizer, and a higher-order thinking card sort. You can use them all or pick and choose from to suit your needs.

All lessons include lesson plan with learning targets and essential questions, directions, links where appropriate, ready-to-copy interactive pages, bellringers, and formative assessment exit tickets.

I've also started including separate pdf pages and images of parts of the lesson so it can be more flexible and easily assigned in a digital classroom.
