Description
Fully engage your students at the end of the year with this fun math project for middle school! Using real world math skills and a fun theme is a perfect way to keep your students on task after state testing, at the end of the year, or during summer school. I have successfully used this project with 6th grade, 7th grade, and 8th grade students.
This project finds your students planning a Summer BBQ - Budgeting, Shopping for Supplies, Area of the yard, Planning the schedule, Activities, and more!
Students will use basic math skills - including fractions, decimals, percentages, measurement, area, data analysis, unit rates & best buys, two-way tables - to work their way through eight activities.
Teacher instructions and a marking guide are included. This project took about 3 class lessons (50 minute lessons) for my students to complete
