Description
This is such a fun way to review - play SCATTERGORES in your US History class!
- There are 10 EDITABLE rounds and each round starts with a letter of the alphabet. Students are in small groups (4-5). When you reveal the letter of the alphabet, they are to brainstorm as many things that they can think of that fit into the "Scattergories category" that start with that letter of the alphabet.
- Recent Update: It now contains both a power point AND Google Slides™ version.
- To "score" their answers, I go to my whiteboard and tally points for each group. The group with the most correct answers wins. More detailed instructions are on the power point.
I love this game because you can play it many, many times - simply by changing the letter of the alphabet. Each time they play, they have to think DEEPER to remember and make connections using a different letter.
This is LITERALLY a ZERO PREP review game. Students can write their answers on notebook paper. You are the expert, therefore you are the "key" to deciding if their answers will work or not.
I've left this in power point, so you can change letters as you wish.
The content is based on the 2019 Texas TEKS.
