Description

This product is a complete lesson plan on the motivations (causes) and impacts (effects) of European Imperialism. The lesson identifies 5 PRIME (political, religious, ideological, money and exploratory) reasons for European Imperialism and then both positive and negative impacts.

The lesson is designed with the hear it (lecture), see it (document sets) and do it (graphic organizer and short answer question) that is planned out for two 50 minutes periods. The plan can be adjusted to meet the time constraints and needs of your students.

The lesson includes; lesson planner, PPT with warm-ups and expectations, Guided Notes for special populations, documents sets for motivations and impacts, graphic organizers for motivations and impacts as well as answer keys.

For my fellow Texas teachers this lesson is based on the Readiness Standards WH8.B--Identify major political, economic, and social motivations that influenced European imperialism & C--Explain the major characteristics and impact of European imperialism.

The download is a ZIP file and the actual files are either Word Docs or PPT.
