Description

Voting and Voting Machines – Every Vote Counts

With all the controversy about counting the ballots and the Russians hacking our election, you and your students will be creating voting machines and ballots for the 21st century, in time for the next election.

In this fun and challenging lesson, students create a tamper-proof voting machine that makes sure that every vote is counted.

Students, in groups, will be making mock-ups of machines and ballots then presenting their ideas the the Design Review Committee (students in the class) who will hold hearing to evaluate the project and hopefully pick one they think will be good.

Students can let their creativity run wild. Gives students with a variety of skills to shine.

Project includes: Teachers’ Guide, Handouts, and links.
