Forms of Energy Poster Project (2-3 Day activity) MS-PS3

This activity is designed to assess the student’s understanding of the different forms of energy (MS-PS3).  This activity usually requires 2-3 class periods for the students to complete. There are three versions of this project:

• Forms of Energy Solo Poster Project - This is simply a poster assignment made for individual students.  Resource suggestions, a “checkoff” list and a grading rubric are included.

• Forms of Energy “Think Outside the Box” Poster Project - This project is geared toward students who work more slowly or have accommodations.  It is focused around using video clips to help them do their research instead of websites (making it MUCH easier for students with reading issues).  It also reduced the workload.

• Forms of Energy Partner Poster Project - This is the same poster project, but now the checkboxes are for the students to write their names in.  This helps the kids keep track of who is doing what.  There is also a partner scoring sheet that allows the student to grade each other on how well they did the parts they were responsible for.

The “Outside the box” version is meant for students who have accommodations or challenges with grade level work.
