Two different parts/options are available for the Activity.

Activity Option 1 – Map Analysis/Comparison

For Option 1, students are given 6 maps, 3 for Italy and 3 for Greece. Physical, climate, and land use maps are included. Students will be asked to compare these maps and complete a chart where they will describe the similarities and differences between each of these locations.

Activity Option 2 – Reading and Graphic Organizer

For Option 2 students receive a 730-word reading that describes the impacts that Geography had on both Greece and Rome. Students are asked to complete a Box Chart or a Venn-diagram to compare the geography of these areas and describe how geography impacted the Greeks and Romans in similar/different ways.
