Halloween Candy Box STEM Challenge Intro to Volume & Surface Area STEAM Project

Exploring Volume and Surface Area through a Challenge: Candy Box. A great challenge for introducing ideas like nets, surface area, and volume.

You need: Colored cardstock paper, white copy paper (A4 or letter size), scissors, tape, and candies. 

In the file, you will find tips and my experiences with this project, as well as the rules of the challenge and examples to show your students.

It can be an individual activity. You can also do this activity in groups of 2–3 students. It’s a perfect BTC task that gets everyone thinking and talking.
