Description
Students will learn about the White Rose Movement and how some German students resisted Hitler and the Nazis by watching this 5 minute video, answering 25 questions, and completing 2 extension tasks. The answers are included where appropriate. The video is from TedEd.
Sample questions include:
--Can that sentiment of the quote be applied to anything today, why or why not?
--Summarize the contents of the leaflets dropped over Germany in 1943.
--How were families like the Scholls kept under Nazi control?
--Why might the government have especially targeted younger Germans?
--Identify Hans and his friends’ biggest challenge after deciding they wanted to share their anti-Nazi views.
--What/who were the Gestapo in relation to the Scholls?
