Hormone Summary Table Set

I created this table set to help my human anatomy and physiology students learn twenty-four integral hormones in the endocrine system. Students will record the acronym, the function(s), the secreting gland or organ, the target tissue, structural classification (peptide or lipid), and the medical conditions associated with the hormone.

The table set covers the following hormones - growth hormone (somatotropin), calcitonin, parathyroid, insulin, glucagon, prolactin, prolactin inhibiting, thyroid stimulating, triiodothyronine, thyroxine, thymosin, adrenocorticotropic, cortisol, follicle stimulating, luteinizing, testosterone, progesterone, antidiuretic, oxytocin, melanocyte stimulating, melatonin, estrogen, aldosterone, and epinephrine (adrenaline).

I also provided a pair of answer banks, one for each table on separate pages that could be offered as a supplementary guide. This activity takes two traditional class periods to complete.
