Description
My latest version in my vocabulary tournament bracket challenge series features an inorganic chemistry theme. This tournament activity is best suited for students taking chemistry and inorganic chemistry.
Thirty-two substances compete in this tournament. First round winners are not elements, pure substances, or mixtures. Second round winners are covalently bonded. Third round winners are inorganic. Fourth round winners are featured in the carbon dioxide-oxygen cycle. The tournament champion is required for aerobic respiration.
I added an additional miniature blank tournament bracket with step-by-step directions for students to create and fill out their own chemistry-themed tournament brackets. Students begin this activity with eight substances and map out the pathway to the champion.
