Introduction to Chemistry - Matter and Changes in Matter Crossword Puzzle

This listing features two versions of a crossword puzzle about the matter and changes in matter. One version includes a word bank for differentiation purposes while the other does not. I assign this activity in the introductory chemistry unit of my eighth-grade physical science class. High school chemistry teachers could also utilize this crossword puzzle and the others in the series for a remedial review to kick off their year.

The eleven terms the clues cover are – atom, element, matter, physical (change), chemical (change), compound, molecule, precipitate, solution, mixture, and chemistry.

I added a non-grid answer sheet on a third page.
